A complete kit ready for you to make your own Saltire Mittens representing the St Andrew's Cross of the national flag of Scotland.

These gloves were created by the uber-talented Alabama Whirly from her own pattern following the success of the Johnny Rotten Mittens (new kit coming soon.)

The kit comprises of 50g of St Andrew's Blue hand dyed by Skein Queen and 50g of Naked White and a full colour pattern including charts printed on glossy paper to make your own Saltire Mittens. All tucked into a 25cm x 35cm natural cotton bag screen printed with the words "Knit Kit - ooo what's inside?" which can be used as a project bag even after you've completed your mittens.

There is sufficient yarn in the kits to make even the largest size.

The yarn is Desire, DK / 8 ply (11 wpi) 100% merino, dyed in the UK, machine wash on cool cycle.

This pattern is suitable for intermediate – experienced knitters and is knitted in the flat, cuff up using intarsia.

The kit excludes needles so that you can choose your preferred method of working.

The pattern is a three page colour printout on high quality glossy paper including detailed colour chart showing all three sizes and a stitch count for the end of each row worked.
