Patterns by Suzanne Stallard
Gloves, mitts and handwarmer patterns by Suzanne Stallard aka alabamawhirly.
Suzanne trained as a Fine Artist and currently runs an art gallery and mentors emerging artists. She is inspired by anything from Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols to Olive Snook of Pushing Daisies, from swans on the River Thames to the brick patterns on Portuguese buildings. She usually freestyles the patterns for the original gloves, then knits a second or third pair to get the pattern down on paper. Suzanne has sold her finished gloves on Etsy since 2005, and after many requests by her customers, has recently released her patterns so you too can knit her unique designs.
Patterns by Paulina Popiolek
Shawl patterns by Paulina Popiolek aka PaulinaP.
Paulina has exhibited an artistic soul in number of fields. She has got a diploma in Garden Design and is an amateur interior designer. But her true passion is knitting. She has been knitting since early childhood. Having grown up in Poland she had to design her own garments as there were no professional magazines there at the time.
She gets inspiration from nature, colours, architecture and other forms of art.
She particularly loves lace and colour work and specialises in designing shawls.
Paulina lives in Surrey with her most understanding husband who encourages her to write and publish patterns.
Patterns by Debbie OrrSkein Queen herself designs patterns for small accessories such as socks, mittens and baby blankets, several of which have been published in knitting magazines. Usually a Skein Queen yarn, a stitch pattern or a colour combination will spark an idea and she is particularly fond of fairisle and colourwork.
